The traditional Purchasing Card is a payment solution designed to be used with high volume suppliers for low dollar transactions. In the past, organizations relied mainly on costly and timely conventional purchase order and invoicing processes to make these types of purchases.
Today, purchasing cards are reducing costs and streamlining processes associated with authorizing, tracking and reconciling business purchases. Each employee can be given a purchasing card, consolidating the procurement steps. In addition, many of our tools can be applied via web services, that place systemic visibility and authorization restrictions on end user purchases, including transaction limit and Merchant Category Code (MCC).
